Participants completed the questionnaire and submit blood samples throughout the day. Before dinner, brain scans using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI ) was performed to detect brain signals controlling food motivation and motivating nature of the meal.
Those who eat a high protein breakfast reported feeling more full, and their brain activity to this statement compared with low activity in areas responsible for controlling the desire to eat. High-protein breakfast also reduces the desire to eat an afternoon snack high in fat and sugar, compared with other groups.

Findings contained in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.

" Eating protein-rich breakfast of an impact on the desire to eat at the end of the day, when people tend to take snacks high in fat or sugar, " says study author Heather Leidy in a university news release on March 26. " These data suggest that eating a breakfast rich in protein is one potential strategy to prevent overeating and improve diet quality by replacing unhealthy snacks with high quality breakfast food."
If you often leave breakfast, Leidy propose to three days, because that is the time it takes for the body to adapt to eat early.
Study participants eating eggs and meat-based foods such as burritos' egg-based or waffles with applesauce and sausage meat as part of a high-protein breakfast. Leidy also recommend eating Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, or nut crushed pork sticks as an alternative to deliver 35 grams of protein.

Another way to get rid of extra weight before spring? Opt for a routine morning exercise before breakfast rich in protein. Researchers from the University of Northumbria in the UK say that you can burn more than 20 percent body fat by exercising in the morning on an empty stomach. Findings obtained in January in the British Journal of Nutrition.
